Overview

Answer the call of spring in the heart of the rugged Wawayanda wilderness. For 2026, the beloved Wawayanda Trail Fest moves to a stunning new season, unleashing a fresh course and a monumental new challenge: the 100K distance. This is the ultimate trail running celebration, offering four epic distances to test your limits. Dive into miles of legendary rhododendron tunnels, traverse marsh bridges, and conquer a mix of gravel road and single track on a unique 26+ mile loop course designed for maximum adventure with minimal road crossings. With everything centered on a vibrant main event site—featuring legendary aid stations, easy crew access, and even Friday night camping—it’s more than a race. It’s a festival of grit, community, and the pure joy of the trail.

Event Essentials:

  • When: April 25, 2026. Registration closes April 23, 2026.
  • Distances: Half Marathon (~13-14 mi), 50K50 Mile, and the new 100K.
  • Race Day Schedule: Waves start from 5:00 AM (100K) to 9:00 AM (Half Marathon).
  • Highlights: Single-loop design for most distances, famed “Maraschino” and “BaseCamp” aid stations with incredible food, onsite camping, and a finisher award for everyone.

Course Description

The course winds through the hills of Northern Jersey with only 2 road crossings, and they are both IN THE PARK! The full loop is unique 26+ miles of trail.

Half Marathon route = 1 loop (~13 miles, maybe closer to 14, but who doesn’t love a bonus mile)
50K route = Full Loop (North and South)
50 Mile route = Full Loop x 2 + South Loop
100K route = Full Loop x 2

COURSE ROUTES: Can be found on our Wawayanda PLOTAROUTE COLLECTION. Toggle on the Course you’d like to see and use the upper right MENU option for MORE INFO, elevation, gps downloads and more.
UPDATES: We are excited to switch it up a little this year. Not only adding the 100k distance, but “finding” some more trails to keep it fresh! New Maps COMING SOON!
