Overview

Step onto the sands of Pensacola Beach on Saturday, March 28, 2026, for Seiz Up, a heartfelt event uniting marathoners, half marathoners, and 5K runners in support of epilepsy awareness. Based at Casino Beach Boardwalk, this race draws participants of all levels to scenic coastal paths with views of the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay mixed with compassionate purpose.

Founded in collaboration with epilepsy advocacy organizations, Seiz Up has quickly established itself as a mission-driven race, attracting 150–300 half‑marathoners in its debut year. The flat, sea-level course offers a fast, out-and-back layout ideal for both PR-seekers and cause-driven runners. Aid stations are positioned every few miles, offering water, electrolytes, and gel packets, while volunteers and community groups provide lively cheers and encouragement .

Post-race, participants are invited to a vibrant beachside celebration at the Gulfside Pavilion—complete with awards, refreshments, vendor booths, and community camaraderie. Proceeds go directly to epilepsy awareness, advocacy, and support initiatives.

With a compact field, easy course logistics, and mission-focused energy, Seiz Up offers a meaningful and memorable springtime running experience that combines coastal scenery with community impact.
