Scheduled for July 13, 2025, this event offers runners a unique opportunity to celebrate summer with a holiday twist. Organized by High Tide Runs, the race includes multiple distances—Half Marathon, 10-Miler, 10K, and 5K—catering to a wide range of participants.

The course is a flat, out-and-back route along the scenic beach path, starting at 5400 E Ocean Ave. The Half Marathon begins at 7:00 AM PDT, with an option for an early start at 6:30 AM upon request. Participants will enjoy ocean views, a refreshing sea breeze, and a festive atmosphere complete with holiday-themed attire and decorations.

On-course support includes water stations at the Belmont Pier and a fully stocked aid station at the finish line with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are given to the top male and female finishers in each distance. The race is stroller and walker-friendly, making it accessible to runners of all levels.

With its combination of scenic beauty, community spirit, and festive holiday theme, the Surfing Santa Christmas in July Half Marathon offers an exceptional racing experience for both local and visiting runners.

Course Description

The beach path is an open course, so you will encounter others using it. When we start the race, please stay on the right side of the beach path. The right side is for pedestrians and the left side is for cyclists.

On-Course Support: A fully stocked water station is located at the Belmont Pier. The finish line will also have an aid station stocked with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. We have a first aid kit at each station and all High Tides Crew Members have received CPR training. The turns are clearly marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag
