Overview

Get ready to crank up the synths and hit the paved park trails of SE Metro Park for a totally rad 80s-themed race experience! The course features wide, smooth pathways with gentle rolling sections and a few mixed-surface areas like crushed granite or light dirt. It’s a fun, beginner-friendly layout with plenty of room to run and aid stations spaced roughly every 1.5 miles to keep you fueled along the way. This event brings all the neon, nostalgia, and high-energy fun that defines the Running Through the Decades series—big hair, big music, and Bigfoot himself cheering runners in at the finish. Enjoy 80s hits from DJ Sasquatch, a pre-race costume contest, awesome photo ops, and the signature Bigfoot Running Company race-day experience. All participants score a finisher medal and soft race tee, no matter the distance. Choose from the 1 Mile, 5K, Quarter Marathon, or Half Marathon—each chip-timed (except the 1 Mile)—with live results, overall awards, masters recognition, and full age-group awards. With wide trails, energetic staff, and plenty of retro flair, this SE Metro Park course is perfect for PRs, first-timers, and runners who just want to groove through the miles—rain or shine. Whether you’re racing for time or running for totally tubular vibes, the 1980s Edition at SE Metro Park delivers a fun, fast, neon-soaked race day you won’t forget.
