Overview

Join us at Walker Place Park for a fast, fun Louisiana edition of the Rodeo Stampede! This course winds through the park’s riverside greenbelt paths and open park spaces, offering mostly flat, smooth running with a mix of paved surfaces and light crushed-granite or dirt sections. Expect a clearly marked route with aid stations spaced roughly every 1.5 miles to keep you hydrated and supported. Runners will enjoy the full rodeo-themed excitement—cowboy costumes, DJ Sasquatch bringing the music and energy, Bigfoot cheering and posing for photos, and the signature Bigfoot Running Company finish-line celebration. Every participant earns a belt-buckle finisher medal and soft race tee. Choose from the 1 Mile, 5K, Quarter Marathon, or Half Marathon, with chip timing for all but the 1 Mile, plus overall, masters, and age-group awards. With its flat layout and scenic surroundings, Walker Place Park makes for a smooth, beginner-friendly, and PR-worthy race experience—rain or shine. If you’re ready for a high-energy, western-themed run with Louisiana charm, the Rodeo Stampede at Walker Place Park delivers a lively, well-supported race day for runners of every level.
