Join us for the Lone Star Night Run, a thrilling evening event featuring a Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K race set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Mineral Wells State Park’s Trailway in Weatherford, TX. This event promises an unforgettable experience under the night sky.
The course offers participants a scenic journey on soft fine gravel trails, providing a comfortable and enjoyable running surface. Starting and ending at the Weatherford Trailhead, runners will embark on an out & back course along the Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway, with the route showcasing the natural beauty of the North Texas foothills.
Expect relatively flat terrain with a slight incline on the outward leg, followed by a downhill stretch towards the finish line. With nighttime temperatures ranging from 75 to 85 degrees in September, participants can anticipate ideal conditions for a refreshing and exhilarating run.
As part of the Texas Summer Night Series, the Lone Star Night Run offers an opportunity for runners to be part of a larger athletic community. Completing all three races in the series earns participants exclusive rewards, including a Texas Summer Night Series Water Proof Sports Duffle Bag and a case to showcase all race medals earned throughout the series.
