On Saturday, November 8, 2025, runners and walkers gather at Mt. Juliet High School for the 3rd annual coffee‑themed Half & Half Marathon weekend, featuring a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and new Rucking divisions.
History & Format
Launched in 2023 as Mt. Juliet’s first half marathon, this event blends scenic neighborhood loops with community impact—supporting Rest Stop Ministries, which aids survivors of human trafficking. The race returns in 2025 with coffee-themed swag, custom medals, and the chance to ruck (walk/hike with a weighted pack).
Course & Experience
The half marathon is a two-loop, USATF‑certified course navigating Charlie Daniels Park, greenways, and Jackson Hills neighborhoods before returning to the high school campus. All races start at 9:00 AM CST, with aid stations approximately every 2 miles stocked with water, GU gels, BCAAs, and fruit. Facilities are available at the school and park.
Unique Features
What makes this event stand out is the playful coffee theme—finishers get branded socks and a coffee mug, and there’s a post‑race coffee and grazing spread courtesy of Billy Goat Coffee Café and Cooking Around Town. The Ruck division provides a full military‑style walking challenge with strict gear requirements not commonly found in road races.
This race attracts a small but vibrant field—designed for beginners, walkers, and local runners who enjoy community purpose, thoughtful swag, and a low‑stress race atmosphere with a dash of caffeine flair.
