The Fort Myers City of Palms Half Marathon & 5k has scenic Views. Often argued as the most scenic half marathon course in the state, the Fort Myers City of Palms Half Marathon & 5k takes runners throughout the Florida Gulf Coast University campus.
Winding through lush Florida greenery, serene walkways, and pristine bodies of water, all runners will be given the opportunity to enjoy views of Lake Como, finishing along beachfront sights.
Starting at Florida Gulf Coast University at a crisp 6:30 a.m, the Fort Myers Half Marathon is a flat as fast course (as all Florida races are), taking runners throughout the campus, along beachfronts, and aside Lake Como for a spectacularly designed event.
This race is semi-competitive, with a 3.5-hour time limit for all half marathon participants. Fully stocked aid stations can be expected every two (2) miles of the course.
Ideal for seasoned runners are complete beginners, this event has something suitable for everyone; not to mention it’s extremely flat; no need to worry about the ever-dreaded incline hills.
As with most registrations, all participants will receive a shirt, finisher’s medal, free photos, free post-race snacks, and live reports for the spectators and supporters who want to follow along.
