Overview

The half marathon climb is an out-and-back that begins on Maple Springs Road, outside of Silverado, CA. Runners follow the creek on a gradually inclining, beat-up asphalt road for about 1.5 miles. The climb picks up at the dirt truck trail where runners switchback up the mountain toward Dead Man’s curve and beyond to Four Corners (where Harding Truck Trail and N. Main Divide come together with Maple Springs Rd). Runners continue the climb to N. Main Divide where they travel a short distance down to the turnaround point before returning to the Finish.

Course Description

 1/2 Marathon & 10K

Runners will take the asphalt road up Maple Springs Road alongside the creek for about 1.5 miles. At the dirt road, runners continue up Maple Springs Road for some forest views. The 10k course turns around at Deadman’s Curve while half-marathoners climb the switchbacks up to 4 Corners for far reaching views of The OC and Inland Empire. From 4 Corners, runners continue up to N. Main Divide and turn left to continue on for about a half mile before the turnaround. Except for the small climb back up to Maple Springs Rd, the return trip is all down hill! Aid stations will be at miles: 3.1, 6.55, and 10.
