Overview

Experience a weekend getaway with the Beer City Half™ – Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, CA. This signature East Bay festival combines a half marathon with shorter fun runs, craft beer tastings, and a lively post-race celebration.

Runners begin the half marathon at 8:30 AM, with 10K and 5K waves following at 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM, respectively . The routes loop around Annabel Lake and traverse sections of the Iron Horse trail—a mix of paved bike paths and gravel rail-to-trail stretches—offering scenic glimpses of rolling hills and parkland.

Aid stations on the half marathon route provide water, Skratch sports drink, and GU gels. Pace group marshals help maintain pace targets, and runners encounter flashing mile markers under open skies.

After the race, participants can sample local brews at the Beer City Shindig, enjoy live music, engage in fun games like the Beermazing Race, and share stories with fellow runners.

All participants receive a T-shirt, “Key to Beer City” finisher medal, and a branded tasting glass. Competitive runners in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K will be eligible for overall and age-group awards.
